Telecom Innovator Poised to Transform Internet TV
New Brunswick, NJ. – Feb. 23, 2016 – Mobile cable and broadband OTT television service operator YipTV announced today the addition of Louis Holder as Chief Technology Officer as the company prepares for exponential growth this year. Holder is again teaming up with former Vonage’s President and YipTV co-founder Michael Tribolet. At Vonage the duo was instrumental in scaling the company’s technology platform and driving customer growth.
“Lou and I worked together during the early days at Vonage. What an amazing opportunity to work with him again in building another scalable, direct to consumer media-based business,” said Michael Tribolet, CEO, YipTV. “Once again, we are working together to disrupt the consumer market. This time, we want to change the way people watch TV just like we changed the way consumers make phone calls worldwide by flattening price and broadening their options.”
As the former co-founder of Vonage as well as president and co-founder of Vonage Mobile, Holder developed new product strategy with an emphasis on mobility. He was also responsible for Vonage’s technology infrastructure, products and support services, including systems development and web application development.
With over 20 years of experience with leading edge technology organizations, Holder is a proven innovator among his peers and will be responsible for building YipTV’s infrastructure to support future growth. Before joining YipTV, Holder was CEO of Innovaci, a U.S. based consumer product company focused on smart appliance innovations in the health and wellness market sector. Previous positions include COO at ooVoo and CTO of the OTT platform company Narrowstep, which had a successful exit in 2008.
Before joining Vonage, Holder was a vice president in the program trading technology group at PaineWebber where he performed business and technical analysis and led a team responsible for the development of a next-generation program trading system. Prior to PaineWebber, Holder was a senior software developer at Cantor Fitzgerald and is credited for developing several analytical and trading applications within Cantor Fitzgerald’s FX options, emerging markets, government bond swaps, euro bond swaps and interest rate swaps desks.
Holder has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from NYU Polytechnic University.
